Description

On a small farm at the edge of the woods, a Tomte's magic pulled you off your post and gave you a job: keep the harvest alive.

Tattie Bogle is a co-op farming-defense roguelite that flips the camera onto the guardian. Most farming games make you the farmer. Here you are the scarecrow, enchanted to life and left to defend someone else's livelihood through clever placement, frantic spooking and last-second harvests.

Days are for planning: grow crops, craft tools, place defenses across the fields. Nights are for surviving what the woods send. Cursed relics dug from ancient barrows grant real power at a real cost. When the farm finally falls, the run resets - but everything the scarecrow learned carries into the next attempt.

Key Features

• Play the scarecrow, not the farmer. A novel role in a crowded genre - you guard the farm, you do not own it.
• Four shifts, no breaks. Each day runs through its cycles, and every one of them sends something at the crops.
• Fight like a scarecrow. Six tools - fists, hoe, pitchfork, rake, shovel and trowel - each with its own attacks and feel.
• Build while they're coming. Eight placeable structures - Lure, Trench, Stinging Nettle, Spook Stone, Vine Net, Straw Mat, Barley Hay Bale and Farming Plot - several with multiple upgrade tiers and live placement validation.
• A real pest roster. Thirteen enemy types from bunnies and squirrels up to ghouls and mushroom goblins, with grid pathfinding, flow-field swarming and a three-band fear system driving their behaviour.
• Farm what you defend. Ten crops, each with growth stages, yields and a market value - and every one of them is a decision. Keep it to feed your own crafting and upgrades, or sell it through the shop for the money the farm needs to survive.
• Dig at your own risk. Cursed relics drawn from Norse myth grant powerful abilities with a literal curse attached.
• Lose the farm, keep the lessons. Per-run upgrades stack within a session; permanent unlocks carry forward between them.
• Solo or online co-op for up to four. Difficulty and wave sizes scale with the size of your group.
• Dial yourself down for your friends. Before a session, veterans can throttle their own permanent upgrades - turning them off or sliding them back down - so a well-stocked scarecrow can play alongside a brand-new one without trivialising the night for everybody else.

History

PineFog Studios was founded by Andy Johnson, who left full-time work to build games independently. An early attempt at a custom engine in Rust was abandoned in favour of shipping something finished; Tattie Bogle followed.

Tattie Bogle is PineFog Studios' first commercial release.
